Music
Below are recordings and information about some of my more recent compositions. Most of them were written for my M.Phil. or Ph.D. portfolios.
Variations
Variations (2007) for Piano and live electronics was inspired by the Webern Variations for Piano (Opus 27).
The piece was performed by Katharine Lam as part of the New Generation Arts festival in Birmingham, UK.
Fission
Fission (2005) for two Violas and live electronics was written at the request of Rivka Golani for the 2005 Music Extra festival in Birmingham.
The recording was made live in the Recital Hall at Birmingham Conservatoire. It was performed by David Mathieu and Larissa Brown.
Undercurrent
Undercurrent (2007) for Bass Trombone and live electronics is part of a series of experimental works exploring the use of instrumental sound as a means of controlling live processing.
The piece was performed by Simon Hall in the Recital Hall at Birmingham Conservatoire as part of a concert organised by Ensemble Interakt.
eclipse
eclipse (2000) for tape, was composed as part of my M.Phil. portfolio whilst I was studying at the University of Birmingham. It was included on the 2000 SPNM shortlist.
