SYSEX patch bank transfers done

After an infuriating half-day spent trying to get MIDI out of an Mac OS 9 machine , we have finally got all of the patch data needed for ‘Madonna’ in a generic format. The files in the archive attached are 32-voice SYSEX bank dumps in DX7 format, which means they can be read by any software that supports DX7 sysex banks. This includes FM7, hexter, Jsynthlib, and numerous other software librarians.

The process for exporting the files from Galaxy was as follows:

  1. Connect a MOTU Fastlane MIDI interface to the OS 9 Mac, and configure the drivers (note: remove all traces of OMS and freemidi, install OMS, then install freemidi OMS driver for the MOTU hardware only).
