TX7 and hexter6 comparison

A PD patch was created to step through each patch on the TX7 and Hexter, and play a note of duration 5sec, Velocity 80 Pitch 60. The notes were recorded to separate (44100Hz, 16-bit WAV) soundfiles, and them mixed to a stereo file - panned 0.3 and 0.7 in the stereo field. The mix was then normalized, and each patch was extracted to a separate file. The TX7 is heard first, then Hexter.

A brief aural comparison was then conducted in order to get an overview of how closely the Hexter emulation resembled the original TX sounds. In particular, the comparison was used to determine how successfully the LFO functionality had been emulated.
